Recently, our IronWall360 team reached out to one of the major metropolitan police departments receiving online privacy protection and asked members to respond to a brief survey. It is important for us to know that we are providing the best service possible to those who protect and serve us.

The results are in:

  • Most respondents believe the risk of having their address and phone number online is either “High” or “Very High.” Not a single respondent believed the risk was “Low” or “Very Low.”
  • Three out of four respondents report being “Satisfied” or “Very Satisfied” with the service.
  • A full 100% report they would discuss privacy protection with another police officer. The response was also unanimous when we asked whether online privacy protection is a service they would pursue if it were not provided by their department.
  • The reason most cited by officers for signing up for online privacy monitoring is “to protect my family.”

From these conclusions, it is apparent that police officers see the value in online privacy protection, and care about the security this service provides to themselves and their families. This is also evident in the number of member registrations received by IronWall360 when a police department or association makes this service available. Typically, within the first two weeks, more than 80% of their members sign up to make sure their private information is removed from the internet.

We’d like to thank everyone who took part in this survey.
