California’s Central Basin Municipal Water District chose to upgrade its website to better serve a growing community of 1.6 million people in 24 cities throughout Los Angeles County.
When 360Civic was awarded the contract, our team reviewed the District’s current site with Central Basin officials, to ascertain their goals and to offer suggestions on how to make the site more user-friendly than their current version. This included making sure that important information about the quality of water provided by the District, and news about water supply (a key issue in California) were prominently addressed.
The new site created by 360Civic boasted an appealing design and intuitive navigation, with equal attention devoted to online security for both website visitors and District personnel.
360Civic also revised and updated content throughout the site, and also provided blogs and social media content.
The new site has outperformed its predecessor in all key metrics:
- Page views increased 20%
- The average number of pages viewed per session increased 79%
- The amount of time visitors spend on the site increased 200%
- The bounce rate dropped 23%
